FCSR FOR IN-HOME AND CONSUMER-DIRECTED SERVICES

Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)
The Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance Unit (MMAC) is critical in the enrollment of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) providers. These providers help the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) deliver in-home care to eligible individuals who wish to remain in their communities. Through HCBS, seniors and individuals with disabilities can receive the support they need while staying in a familiar environment.
Provider Requirements and Compliance
Potential providers looking to offer HCBS must submit a detailed proposal that outlines their business practices and demonstrates the capacity to meet the needs of the individuals served by the DHSS. Additionally, they must ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and orders related to the provision of these services.
For providers already enrolled in In-Home Services (IHS) and Consumer-Directed Services (CDS), participation agreements are valid for five years. Most currently enrolled providers have a renewal date of June 30, 2019, and should verify their renewal status by reviewing their participation agreements.

Resources for HCBS Providers
The DHSS provides various resources to assist both current and potential HCBS providers. These include:
- HCBS Provider Enrollment and Revalidation
- In-Home Services & Consumer-Directed Services Proposal Information
- Reassessment Packet
- Adult Day Care Waiver Services
- Residential Care Facility/Assisted Living Facility Packet
- Application Fee Information
- HCBS Provider Revalidation

Providers can access these resources to ensure they meet all regulatory standards and remain in compliance.
